We reject austerity over 125,000 protesters in Montreal and Quebec City
Not a bad start
More than 125,000 people chanted loudly they refused the Couillard government austerity measures at the giant demonstration organized by civil society groups, student associations and trade unions. There were more than 25,000 in Quebec and more than 100,000 in Montreal that have notified the Couillard government to stop turning a deaf ear, because the population will not accept the dismantling of the Quebec State as a sacrifice on the altar of austerity.
