Restoration work has begun on the Queen Victoria statute at the Glen Campus
After over two years of neglect in an alcove in the Glen Campus, restoration work has begun on the Queen Victoria statute, a symbol representing the Royal Victoria Hospital which is important part of the MUHC heritage.
The background walls have been painted Royal Victoria Blue, the Statues are being professionally restored and the young child after decades on the waiting list will get his prosthetic toe.
A few decades from now, when all the former RVH employees have gone, the symbol which will remain representing not only the buildings but the people from our prestigious and wonderful past, will be the Carrara white marble statue.
Maybe a better location with a background mural with an B&W image aerial view of her former home, where she gloriously stood and watched for over a century.
