Fédération autonome de l’enseignement indicated its members will respect pick lines

When the Common Front rotating strikes start the Outaouais region on October 26, the Autonomous Federation of Teachers (Fédération autonome de l’enseignement), which represents 5,000 teachers in Outaouais, has indicated that its members intended to respect the picket lines of school support staff unions, which could result in the suspension of classes in some schools in the region.

Non health sector union workers will strike for the whole day, where as health care sector union workers to respect the essential services will strike for approximately 45 min. The amount of strike time is calculated of 10 percent of the number of work day hours.

The Fédération autonome de l’enseignement is a common front made up of 8 teachers unions, which is in negotiations with the government.
