MUHC lower parking fee at new superhospital
MUHC lowered the fees for the express parking lots which are located on ground level, right in front of the new superhospital front doors. The move comes after the Quebec ombudsman investigated complaints of excessive parking fees.
In response to widespread complaints, the MUHC’s parking committee re-examined those rates. Now anything between 61 minutes and 24 hours will be $30 from the previous $50.
It’s disappointing that the parking fees for the MUHC employees remain unchanged, while their next door coworkers at the Shriners Hospital park for free.
The regular parking rate remains at $25 per day in the underground parking garage which is more than the other hospitals average of $23 a day. Making the MUHC one of the highest parking rates in the province.
