The MUHC among others expenses  spent $ 409 to relocate a soap dispenser

Despite a cost of $ 1.3 billion for the new hospital, the MUHC had to add a few extra million dollars in the last month. The establishment paid $ 409 to move a soap dispenser in a bathroom and $ 26 500 for installing twenty televisions.
Estimated costs for some projects are shocking. Internally, some find these costs largely exaggerated. Previously, some of these jobs were assumed by technical services, but now the private partner is responsible for them.
GISM, a consortium managed by SNC-Lavalin, which won the maintenance contract for 30 years with a value of approximately $ 1 billion. So the total bill of the new hospital is $ 2.3 billion.

Examples:

  • Lower windows of 10 centimeters, 3 $ 776.63

  • Installing 19 TVs in oncology 26 $ 508

  • The installation of outdoor banners on the blocks B, C and F was assumed by the Foundation, $ 56,565
