About five months ago, the MUHC inaugurated the McGill Academic Eye Centre at 5252 de Maisonneuve. That clinic is not privately run but part of the public hospital network.
On Oct. 13 what is now known as “The Children’s Clinic” opened on the second floor of 5100 de Maisonneuve a building owned by the Royal Vic Foundation. The clinic provides seven medical specializations and is staffed by more than 80 MUHC pediatric specialists.
The clinic is privately run by the Brunswick Medical Group and as a result, parents are asked to pay $30 for eye drops for their children.
