The Quebec government and the Common Front of public sector unions have reached an agreement in principle for a new collective agreement after a marathon negotiation session in Quebec City.
During the 13-hour negotiation blitz, the two sides succeeded in hammering out a deal on salary and pensions issues, after months of tense negotiations.
Neither side would reveal to reporters the financial terms of the deal.
