Agreement reached on salaries and pensions – Entente de principe sur les salaires et les pensions

The Quebec government and the Common Front of public sector unions have reached an agreement in principle for a new collective agreement after a marathon negotiation session in Quebec City.

During the 13-hour negotiation blitz, the two sides succeeded in hammering out a deal on salary and pensions issues, after months of tense negotiations.

Neither side would reveal to reporters the financial terms of the deal.

L’entente de principe conclue jeudi entre le Conseil du trésor et le front commun intersyndical constitue une victoire à l’arraché pour les deux parties.

Lors de la négociation blitz de 13 heures, les deux parties ont réussi à marteler à un accord sur les questions de salaires et de pensions, après des mois de négociations tendues.

Ni le président du Conseil du trésor, Martin Coiteux, ni les chefs des centrales syndicales n’ont fourni le moindre détail de l’entente à l’issue de leur deuxième séance de négociations.
