General Assembly starts today – Assemblée générale commence aujourd’hui.

The first General Assembly on the government offer will be held today at the MUHC Glen Campus:

Glen site General Assembly, Tuesday January 19, 2016, 07h00-08h30 at the Main Cafeteria and from 10h00 – 13h30, 17h00 – 18h30 in D03.6020.

Some facts about the offer, Agreement-in-principle.

1 – In the first year 2015-2016 there is no pay increase, it is only a onetime lump sum.

2- For some job titles, the 5th year salary scale increase appears high, but what is important is the final hourly rate. Housekeeping attendant heavy-duty (HD) will receive a 9.9 per cent increase, a food service attendant will receive a 2.6 per cent. But both job titles in 2019 will earn the same hourly rate of $19.69.

They will become the working poor, as will also the Housekeeping attendants HD.

For the food service attendant the total increase over 5 years will be 7.85 per cent or 1.57 per year. The increase will not even keep up with the cost of living, making them poorer in 2019 than they are today. They will become the working poor, as will also the housekeeping attendants H-D.

3- The governments restructured the salary scales to reflect the ‘value’ of our work, but is allowing us to remain under paid for 4 years, and only giving us the adjustment in the 5th year, after the next election.

*Important, there will be no reduction in salaries, unfortunately these members will get no increase in the 5th year.

Quelques faits au sujet de l’offre, l’entente de principe.

Mais les deux titres d’emploi en 2019 seront gagner le même taux horaire de 19,69 $.

Ils deviendront les travailleurs pauvres, comme cela sera également pour les Préposé à l’entretien ménager (travaux lourds).

Pour le préposé au service alimentaire, l’augmentation totale de 5 ans sera de 7,85 pour cent ou 1,57 par an. L’augmentation ne sera pas maintenir leur coût de la vie, ce qui les rend plus pauvres en 2019. Ils deviendront les travailleurs pauvres, comme cela sera également pour les Préposé à l’entretien ménager (travaux lourds).

3 -Les gouvernements restructurées les échelles de salaires pour refléter la «valeur» de notre travail, mais nous permet de rester sous payé pour 4 ans, et seulement nous donner l’ajustement de la 5ème année, après la prochaine élection.

* Important, il n’y aura pas de réduction des salaires, malheureusement, ces membres ne recevront aucune augmentation à la 5ème année.
