MUHC patient complaints increase since the Glen Campus move
MUHC patient complaints increase since the move to the Glen Campus.
The number of dissatisfied patients has increased since the opening of the new mega-hospital of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), last year. The Ombudsman’s data obtained by Radio-Canada show a growing complaints even though the number of patients decreased.
Between 1 June 2015 and 8 March 2016, the MUHC Ombudsman received and processed 1,267 complaints. During the same period in 2014-2015, there were 1223 complaints.
“The increase does not seem enormous,” notes the complaints commissioner, Lynne Casgrain, “but [it] is important, however, given the clientele decrease from removal.”
