The SNC-Lavalin and Innisfree suing the McGil University Health Centre (MUHC) and the Government of Quebec for $330 million.

The claim of the McGill Health Infrastructure Group (GISM) consisting of SNC-Lavalin (60%) and Innisfree (40%) equivalent to almost a quarter of the cost of the public contract 1.3 billion awarded in 2010. The bill was to cover the design, construction, financing and maintenance for 30 years at the MUHC through a public-private partnership (PPP).
Last Thursday it was confirmed to us at  SNC-Lavalin offices that the 1.3 billion is not enough. They explained that since November 2014, the negotiations with the office of the Executive Director, Clermont Gignac, the governments head of projects to modernize the teaching hospitals, were unsuccessful.
GISM, maintained that many changes required by Mr. Gignac ‘s office and or the MUHC would have a significant financial impact on both the construction and the costs associated with maintenance and management of the MUHC Glen campus until 2044.
