MUHC Board of Directors Strategic Initiatives Committee Report on Mergers

The MUHC Board of Directors unanimously adopted report

May 2016, the MUHC Board of Directors Strategic Initiatives Committee was mandated to define the contribution of the  Academic Health Centre (AHC) to the Quebec health network, taking into account the reforms brought by Bill 10, and the prospect of exploring new forms of collaboration with the healthcare network.
The MUHC Board of Directors unanimously adopted Melissa Sonberg’s report, “Voices of Consensus and the Road Ahead”, fully endorsing its strong consensus, recommendations and strategic orientations.
The report dose not support the two merger plans currently undr review. Instead it urges to work  more effectively with its network partners.
