International team of scientists and physicians which among others includes, the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre , the Montreal Children’s Hospital and McGill University, have shed new light on a molecule called TIM-3.
The team of researches believe TIM-3 might play a key role in the regulation of the immune response and would be a potential target for immunotherapy treatments in patients with cancer and other diseases.
Immunotherapy ia a type of therapy that uses substances to stimulate or suppress the immune system to help the body fight cancer, infection, and other diseases.*
