At the Public Board meeting on Monday, the new executive director of the McGill University Health Centre, Dr. Pierre Gfeller announced that he would be meeting with health ministry officials on Jan. 9 to plead for more financial resources.
Timing is on Dr. Gfeller’s side, in that the new CAQ government promised during the election campaign to reinvest financial resources into healthcare services.
McGill University Health Centre is predicting a $8.8-million deficit for 2019.
