Yanaï Elbaz, has been jailed for 39 months but no reimbursement for the moment

This morning at Palais de Justice in Montreal, Superior Court Justice, Claude Leblond sentanced former assistant director general of planing and real estate management of the McGill University Health Center, Yanaï Elbaz, to a 39 month prison term.

However, for the moment he is not required to make any reimbursements, Justice LeBlond, said that damages should be dealt with through civil proceedings.

On Monday, Yanaï Elbaz, admitted to receiving a $10-million bribe in return for helping engineering firm SNC-Lavalin win the contract to build the MUHC Superhospital.
