MUHC dissatisfied, refuses to pay more than $ 2 million to SNC-Lavalin
The McGill University Health Center is refusing to pay more than $ 2 million to its private partner, SNC-Lavalin, since it is dissatisfied with its management of the new superhospital and considers the cost of certain work too high.
The MUHC deducted $1 million from its monthly payments which are just over $4M. Another million was not paid, because of a disagreement over the calculation method for the maintenance of assets until 2047.
A Journal de Montreal investigation revealed that the MUHC had paid $ 8,000 to install two 208-volt power outlets, and $ 35,000 to add a door to the director general’s office.
