Millions diverted by former MUHC boss and wife escaped Quebec authorities

Despite Quebec authorities obtaining court orders to freeze Arthur Porter’s luxury properties, the properties have been sold or have not yet been confiscated.

An investigation led by Eric Yvan Lemay of the Journal de Montréal revealed that along with the luxury properties, authorities have yet to confiscated all the frozen bank accounts.

“The millions of dollars misappropriated by Arthur Porter and his wife in the biggest corruption scandal in modern Canadian history, that of the McGill University Health Center, have escaped the Quebec authorities.”

Dr. Porter’s cancer center in Nassau, Bahamas, sold for $ 1.49 million in April 2014, the transaction took place while the property was was frozen under a court order issued in July 2013.*
