For the 4th straight year, the McGill University Health Centre is excluded from ‘Montreal’s Top Employers’ list. The MUHC last appeared on the list in 2015.
The annual competition organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, recognizes the employers in Greater Montréal that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.
According to former union executive, Manuel Fernandes, the MUHC has the resources and policies to be a top Montreal employer. “The MUHC has the tools required of a top employer”, he stated, “and hopefully with the new CEO along with his new Human Resources Director, the MUHC will find its way back on top.”
The MUHC has recently undergone a change in key senior management positions, including a new CEO, Dr. Pierre Gfeller. Who inherited an institution running multimillion-dollar deficits and plagued with public scandals.
Employers are evaluated using the same eight criteria as the national competition.
Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
