Disciplinary board to sanction doctor over unauthorized photos of female patients
The Quebec College of Physician’s disciplinary board found Dr. Craig Smith contravened three articles of the medical code.
According to the Montreal Gazette last spring, Smith, who practiced at the Centre Medical Sante Mont-Royal, during a consultation took an unauthorized photo of a woman’s vulva. A few days later during a consultation, Smith attempted to take a photo of another woman’s bare breasts.
The decision on the doctors’ sanction will be made within the next 90 days.
