A chartered airplane carrying Canadians who spent weeks restricted to their cabin aboard the cruise ship “Diamond Princess” in Japan arrived in Southern Ontario overnight.
The aircraft arrived soon after 2 a.m. at the Canadian Armed Forces base in Trenton, Ontario.
The 129 Canadians and their partners will undergo a further medical examination before being subjected to an extra two week quarantine, at the NAV Canadian Armed Forces facilities in Cornwall, Ontario, where they will be observed for any signs of COVID-19.
