MUHC Restricts Patient Visits and Unnecessary Travel to Its Hospital’s – Cancels Public Board Meeting
McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) as issued an advisory on its coronavirus COVID-19 information page restricting patient visits and nonessential travel to the MUHC.
The advisory reads, “As a preventive measure, people with fever, cough or difficulty breathing are asked to avoid patient visits and unnecessary travel to the MUHC. If you need to go to the hospital and have these symptoms, please put on a mask and wash your hands as soon as you arrive.”
The healthcare centre also Friday issued a community notice from Chairman, Board of Directors of the MUHC, Peter Kruyt, announcing the cancellation of the March public board meeting.
“In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors of the McGill University Health Centre hereby confirms that its upcoming public session, scheduled for March 20, 2020, has been postponed.”
