A week after other Medical Centres, in efforts to help contain coronavirus COVID-19, offered workers free parking and set up exclusive staff screening clinics, the McGill University Hospital Centre (MUHC) has jumped on board.
With over 12,000 employees, volunteers and doctors, MUHC CEO, Dr. Pierre Gfeller announced Friday, that starting Monday, March 23, staff parking across the medical centre sites will be free.
The free parking starts Monday, March 28 at 6:00 a.m. during working hours only. There will be no charges for current permit holders. Non-permit holders will need to present their MUHC ID. Complete details of how and where to park can be found at the MUHC intranet website.
Gfeller also announced that plans are underway to set up clinics to triage and screen the staff and the volunteers for the coronavirus.
