According to the statement issued Saturday, the order concerns, “among other things, leave, including vacations, staff movements, working time arrangements and the hiring of additional staff.”

The order modifies certain national and local provisions of the collective agreements, and allows the Minister to take any measure required to ensure that the network has the necessary human resources. Such as cancellation of scheduled vacations, leaves, reassignment and modifications to the work schedule.

Health Minister Danielle McCann explained the new provisions are required to deal with the pandemic.

“These temporary measures are aimed at ensuring that we have the resources to care for the people who will need care in the best possible way. I would like to thank again all those who are at the heart of current efforts and who contribute in one way or another to protect the health of the population. The whole of Quebec is grateful for your commitment. “
