MGH Dialysis Clinic Nurses Say They Were Told to Lie to Hospital Security About Possible COVID-19 Exposure
Nurses working at the dialysis clinic of the Montreal General Hospital signed a petition asking for better protect, after receiving instructions from a superior asking them to withhold information and continue working after they were likely exposed to a patient with COVID-19.
The email from a superior to the nurses said, “Do not tell the security guard tomorrow morning that you may have been exposed, answer the questions about symptoms and exposure to people who have travelled to the unit, put on a mask as we sort through the situation,” reported CTV News.
“They are basically asking us to withhold information from security and potentially put our health and the health of others, including our families, at risk,” one nurse told CTV News.
