Pizza Hut Canada is Hiring Staff and Providing 5000 Pizzas Free-of-Charge to Front-Line workers

The organization’s pizza delivery will also be free of charge for front-line workers across Canada.

The world’s largest pizza restaurant company announced the company is providing 5000 pizzas free-of-charge to front-line workers.

According to Pizza Hut Canada, “Franchisees are working closely with front-line organizations, such as hospitals, clinics and fire stations, within their local communities to deliver more than 5,000 pizzas free-of-charge to those who are working hard daily to keep Canadians safe.”

In the press release the organization also confirmed that pizza delivery will be free of charge for front-line workers across Canada.

“We also want to recognize and thank those front-line workers who continue to work tirelessly to keep Canadians safe and healthy during this time, which is why we’ve launched a free pizza service for these local heroes. On behalf of Pizza Hut Canada, we thank you,” said Tatiana Carrascal, Pizza Hut Canada President.

$70,000 Donation to Food Banks of Canada

Pizza Hut Canada, together with sister brands Taco Bell Canada and KFC Canada, donated $70,000 CAD to Food Banks Canada’s COVID-19 Response Fund for Food Banks. The money will be used to bulk purchase and distribute food and share resourcing to continue their critical work in local communities.

Pizza Hut Contactless Delivery and Takeout

The press release also provided details on the organization’s contactless delivery and takeout order procedure

“Delivery: Upon arrival, Pizza Hut drivers will ring the doorbell without directly touching any surfaces, place the order on a small platform, designed to keep the food off the ground, step back 10ft, then collect delivery platform once customers are back inside.”

“Carryout: Upon arrival at their local Pizza Hut, customers will see their local stores contactless carry out instructions posted on the door. Store teams will follow all necessary measures to ensure a safe contactless experience.”
