Following Monday’s Manuel’s Blog story MUHC Block Food Donations and Meal Delivery to Its Workers, the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) will now allow staff to collect food donations and orders from delivery persons.
Previously workers who collected their meals from the delivery person outside the medical centres buildings were prevented by security from re-entering with the food.
MB followed-up with the workers interviewed for Monday’s article, all were pleased upon hearing of the change in the policy.
“Woohooooo, awesome,” exclaimed one worker, who said that one of the day’s highlight is eat a hot and tasty meal.
Another employee expressed their pleasure to be able to continue to have their meals delivered. “Arriving home after a long shift at work I don’t need to worry about making tomorrow’s lunch and cleaning up, I’m so fuckin’ exhausted,” they stated.
The decision is also excellent news to the people and restaurants who donate and deliver meals to the establishments healthcare personnel.
